From cotton blossom bouquets and quail feather boutonnieres to boiled peanuts and skillet cooked cornbread, it doesn't get more Southern than Caitlin and Nick's sweet farm wedding sent to us by J.Malahy Photography. When it came to the wedding day these two California residents couldn't think of a better place than Caitlin's hometown of Starkville, Mississippi. Shanna Lumpkin Events helped pull together the big day, which was celebrated on the bride's family farm. The ceremony was set on the lawn where rustic pew markers of wheat stalks, cotton blossoms and twigs set in vintage glass bottles decorating the aisle. Cowbells, a Mississippi State tradition, sat at each guests seat to be rung in celebration of the newlywed couple as they exited the ceremony. Long banquet tables with white linens and burlap runners provided seating for a family-style Southern meal of chicken fried steak, black eyed peas and buttermilk biscuits, while homemade pies were served for dessert along with hand churned vanilla ice cream. Don't miss a single detail of Caitlin and Nick's homegrown Mississippi wedding!
