Real Wedding ~ Ashleigh and Shaun

It was love at first sight when we saw Ashleigh and Shaun's Crozet, VA wedding at King Family Vineyards photographed by Cramer Photo. In case you haven't seen our logo, our masthead, our website, etc... we kind of have a thing for periwinkle. Ashleigh and Shaun found inspiration in their pastoral vineyard setting and worked with a palette base of bluish-lavender periwinkle ranging from pale to deep, a color not unlike that of grapes on the vine. Accents of fresh green, white and khaki were mixed into the decor and details, echoing the natural landscape of the expansive property, its picket fences, mountain views and manicured lawns. Ashleigh carried a gathered bouquet of mostly white and green blooms with a hint of periwinkle, while her bridesmaids carried similar smaller versions. They wore long gowns in varying shades of periwinkle, ranging from pale and muted to bright, but all tied with the same deep periwinkle sash. The groomsmen wore khaki trousers, lavender button downs and periwinkle striped ties, while Shaun wore a slate gray suit, white suede bucks and periwinkle argyle socks.

Their lovely letterpress wedding papers were all created with a coordinated periwinkle floral design and one of our favorite details comes from their save the date, featuring tiny origami cranes with scrolled copper wire between them spelling out the word "yes". Ashleigh and Shaun's reception was held in the Carriage House, boasting exposed beam ceilings, oak floors, barrel stave chandeliers and a wall of stacked wine casks. Long family style tables were dressed in periwinkle linens and set with crisp white china, soft khaki napkins and letterpress menu cards. Centerpieces were made in tall arrangements of branches and green hydrangea, while smaller arrangements of green and white with hints of periwinkle were set in low green vases to fill the rest of the table. Don't miss a single detail, including the cream embroidered lounge furniture complete with matched periwinkle pillows and the curtain of candlelight created with glass votives strung together.
