We first became smitten with Karen and Brian when we featured their unique engagement session at Terrain at Styer's on the blog, so when we spotted their beautiful wedding captured by Ash Imagery it was pretty inevitable that we would love it just as much. The event was designed in a palette of greens, blues and white against a backdrop of trees and spectacular grounds of the historic John James Audubon estate. Karen wore a pretty chiffon gown with sweetheart neckline, a trio of fabric blossoms under the bust and bodice pleats blending softly into a cascading skirt. She carried a fresh green bouquet of hydrangea and cymbidium orchids, while her bridesmaids wore cocktail dresses in sky blue and carried bouquets of blue hydrangea, mums and orchids. The groomsmen wore muted gray vests and trousers with white button downs and black ties that Brian also wore, but with the addition of a suit jacket. The ceremony took place on the lush grounds of the estate where moss covered cones with hydrangea blossoms, mums and trailing amaranthus hung from shepherds hooks lining the aisleway. Karen and Brian exchanged vows beneath the trees that were adorned with their initials covered in moss.
The historic three-story stone farmhouse served as venue for the reception. The spectacular estate featured aged stone walls, wrap around porches and magnificient grounds boasting seven miles of trails and stunning views of the Perkiomen Creek. The reception was designed with both indoor and outdoor events to work with the estates layout. Guests enjoyed pictures and cocktails outdoors where black and white flip flops were given to guest to slip into for the reception. Indoors round guest tables were draped in brilliant white linens and set with light natural wood chivari chairs with brocade pattern cushions. Fresh Designs Florist created a variety of centerpieces that decorated each guest table's center all designed with hydrangea, moss, mums and orchids to keep the look cohesive. An aged glass door with distressed wood acted as the seating chart with guest names written on the glass window panes. Pretty paper goods designed in the event palette provided signage for the tables, including the favor table where pears set in a crate and were offered to guest to take home in monogram craft bags. Don't miss any of the gorgeous details including the stone fireplace adorned with moss, votives and apothecary jars as well as the couple's declicious tower of red velvet cupcakes with their signature monogram decorating the tops.
