Erin and Chris were married in Elizabeth City, NC at a spectacular home on the Pasquotank River photographed by Whitebox Weddings. Erin added a satin sash in pale cappucino to her pretty strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and soft mermaid silhouette. She wore a romantic cathedral length lace-trimmed veil and gold metallic peep-toe heels with a bow at the toe, while Chris and his groomsmen wore tailored black suits with black ties. The ceremony was held outside the front door of the house, where white benches created a wide aisle accented by groupings of tall cylindrical vases holding stems of hydrangea and trailing amaranthus. Erin and Chris exchanged vows beneath the portico, where a floral swag of white and green blooms hung overhead.
The reception was held in a white tent situated on the lawn with views of the river, where event designer and florist Celebrations designed the party in a fresh, airy palette of white and apple green with gold and neutral accents. The ceiling of the tent featured a massive grouping of round white Chinese lanterns and a dramatic display of mixed trailing greenery, including amaranthus, ferns and vines. Guest tables were covered in crisp white linens and set with gold chivari chairs, while low centerpiece arrangements were created using a variety of all white blooms and amaranthus in aged wooden boxes, some of which were painted a softly faded green. We love the luxe green-edged menu cards and the cool libations served out of glass containers identified by tags tied with green ribbon.
