With torrential rain on the horizon couple Lillian and Felipe didn't let the weather put a damper on their gorgeous destination wedding in Nicaragua photographed by Gina Meola Photography. The addition of a few additional wedding day accessories, including a pair of wellies for the groom and an umbrella for the bride helped keep everyone dry and smiling through the big day. Lillian looked flawless in her body-hugging strapless satin gown that she accessorized with a double strand of pearls and bold red suede pumps with ruffled detailing that matched her red lipstick. Her bridesmaids wore varying black cocktail dresses paired with red pumps as well, while the groomsmen wore black suits with Champagne vests and ties. Escorted by umbrellas to the small little chapel the couple wed in, a flower girl wearing a beautiful red silk Chinese dress with gold embroidery led the way for Lillian who walked down the aisle carrying a stunning bouquet of deep red roses and burgundy calla lilies with a few crystal embellishments. With dark clouds outside and rain pouring the small dark chapel was lit by mostly candlelight as Lillian and Felipe exchanged vows in the intimate atmosphere.
The reception took place at Pueblo Viejo located in an organic coffee farm in the Managua Hills. The event was designed in a striking palette of black and white with bold accents in deep red. Long guest tables were draped in black and white linens and situated on the open terrace. Stone floors and exposed wooden beams above created a warm and inviting space for guests to dine and celebrate. The tables draped with crisp white linens and black linen overlays, provided a striking base for the tropical arrangements of deep red roses, burgundy calla lilies, glossy anthuriums and leafy green accents that adorned each guest table in small square glass vases. Black iron chairs set around the guest tables and were wrapped with white fabric tied in a bow on the side creating a soft feminine touch to the heavy iron chairs. A bolt of sheer white fabric weaved through the exposed beams and draped beautifully over the center of the dance floor. Strands of crystals hung from the fabric and added a glittering whimsical touch as Lillian and Felipe shared their first dance.
