We love everything about Paige and Chris' charming Southern soiree in Charleston, SC photographed by Juliet Elizabeth Photography and coordinated by Ooh Events. The event was designed in a pretty palette of ivory, khaki, gold, peach and rose petal pink. Paige wore a beautiful strapless figure hugging gown in a mermaid silhouette with tiny buttons down the back and carried a gathered bouquet of all white blooms tied with trailing satin ribbon. She added a pair of pumps with rosette detailing and a gorgeous cathedral length veil that just gently blew in the wind as she walked down the aisle. Her bridesmaids wore iridescent taffeta cocktail length dresses with asymmetrical neckline that tied as a bow on the shoulder. The girls dresses from LaRoque were in a striking raspberry color with undertones of coral, which the boys perfectly matched with their ties in a similar hue with gold fleur de lis design. Staying in more neutral spring tones Chris and his groomsmen wore khaki suits with white button downs and boutonnieres of a single white calla lily blossom and hypericum berries.
The ceremony was held on the property of the Legare Waring House where bamboo chairs lined either side of the preexisting pathway to the fountain where the couple wed. The couple's ceremony programs were designed with a golden crown design and beautiful scroll monogram, which was seen again in the stunning cursive "C" made of ivory roses and greenery that sat as the centerpiece to the ceremony. Following the ceremony guests made their way to the open plantation lawn covered with shady moss laden oak trees that was completely transformed into a stunning reception space. A mixture of guest tables were situated on the lawn with long banquet style tables covered in rose petal pink linens that ran down the center of the reception space and smaller tables that sat on either side draped in muted khaki with ivory lace overlay. Gold chivari chairs accented the tablescapes of mirror runners with candelabras and arrangements in the event palette that sat in a mixture of clear glass vases and aged mercury vessels. Lounge seating was created on the lawn with arrangements featuring tufted white settees, bamboo coffee tables and upholstered armchairs.
Guests enjoyed an evening of celebration with dinner and dancing. Chandeliers were hung from the old oak trees and created brilliant lighting along with the flickering candelabras and votives as the night progressed. Paige and Chris shared their first dance as husband and wife under the white tent that was laid with a black and white checkerboard dance floor and adorned with three large round pendants that hung from the ceiling. The couple's exquisite cake was made by the talented Jim Smeal featuring five tears of intricately designed piping with alternating white and muted yellow tiers and gold fleur de lis design. Don't miss any of the couple's spectacular reception details including the couple's sparkler send off where Paige changed into a champagne beaded cocktail dress.
