A hillside vineyard, an explosion of color, amazing handmade decor and brilliant sun-kissed images... There's so much to love in this pretty summer wedding designed by the talented Joy Thigpen and photographed by David and Kendrick of Our Labor of Love. Leah and Jon's wedding at Crane Creek Vineyards in Georgia was inspired by the charming Southern setting and infused with the spirit of childhood classic storybooks like Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins. Leah wore a knee-length lace dance dress with a full skirt and lovely bateau neckline. She added pearl-embellished red ballet flats and tucked a white blossom into her loosely pinned hair. She carried a colorful bouquet of mixed blooms tied with bright red ribbon that resembled a gathered bunch of wildflowers. Her bridesmaids carried similar bouquets tied with white ribbon and wore floral tea dresses with bateau necklines by etsy seller sohomode, each in a different vintage floral fabric and color. Jon wore a navy blue suit with a plaid bowtie and argyle socks in navy and yellow, while his groomsmen wore navy sweater vests, chambray button downs and yellow neckties.
The lakeside wedding ceremony featured a centerpiece arbor made of tree branches and a vivid array of handmade flowers created using recycled water bottles. Following their exchange of vows, Leah, Jon and their happy wedding party created playful images in different areas of the vineyard that ended in a parade around the property in celebration of the newly married couple. The reception was relaxed and casual, held beneath the property's rustic wooden pavilion. Streamers and handmade flowers provided colorful decor, while twinkling white lights gave the event a warm glow. Tables were covered in a variety of floral linens and a custom cornhole game was designed by Oh My Deer in the style of Leah and Jon's wedding invitations. Guests kept the dance floor packed during the lively reception and at the close of the evening, Leah and Jon exited under a glittering shower of sparklers.
