Catherine and Brett were married in a beautiful outdoor Summer wedding photographed by our wonderful friend, Alea Moore. The event was designed in a lovely mixed palette of soft white, lemon and golden yellow, fresh green, cobalt and shades of pink ranging from a pale tea rose to a deep coral. Catherine wore a pretty gown with swirled embroidered detailing that she paired with a ruffle trimmed bolero and feathered blossom headpiece that sat at the nape of her neck. Her bridesmaids wore a variety of cocktail dresses, but all in the same rich cobalt hue and took some fun images with the bride carrying parasols. Natural wood garden chairs were set on the lawn where the grassy aisleway was decorated with mixed blooms of the wedding day palette. Ornately carved wooden fans adorned with a soft teal blue ribbon were given to guests to cool themselves during the warm Summer ceremony. Catherine and Brett exchanged vows on the dock of Piedmont Park with the serene lake in the background and two tall arrangements of roses, hydrangea, amaranth, peonies and billy balls standing on either side.
Catherine and Brett's reception was held at the Greystone where the pretty mixed palette wove its way throughout the details of the garden inspired decor. Massed arrangements of pink garden roses and peonies, vibrant yellow billy balls, fresh green amaranth and leafy green accents punctuated the room, while smaller arrangements of the same floral varieties set in a variety of unique colored glass vessels and formed low centerpieces on alternating guest tables. Guest tables were accented with checkered gold overlays along with gold chargers and bronze chivari chairs. Vintage inspired postcard artwork of places in Georgia labeled each table, while a sweet little bride and groom sign hung from Catherine and Brett's chairs. A gorgeous four tier confection adorned with a bow and trailing ribbon in Auburn colors was served for dessert as well as small peach and apple pies from the world's largest drive-in restaurant, The Varsity who's been serving Atlanta, Georgia since 1928. After a night of delicious treats and dancing with a small appearance by the "King of Rock and Roll," Catherine and Brett made their grand exit as guests waved ribbon wands in celebration.
