I love all barn weddings but this one shot by Brighten Photography with the green and white color palette, choregraphed dances and shirtless groomsmen looked like a blast. And Evan and Bailey could not be a more adorable couple!
The venue Lied Lodge is outstanding - so many fun photo opportunities. The bride, Bailey (such a great name!), said they choose the venue b/c of the huge trees, the rustic barn and all the greenery. A perfect combination!
Thoughts from the bride:
What was the most memorable part of the day?
We were able to have two hours together taking pictures and relaxing before we had to do family and bridal party pictures. Our first sight was amazing and it was so great to have lots of time to be together, making memories and reflecting on what was happening. It was great! The funniest moment though was my dad dancing. He really cut loose and had the time of his life. I remember all of the groomsmen raising him up in the air on the dance floor and had him crowd surfing. He loved every moment of it and so did we!
This series of dance photos and the progression of her dad's dance moves throughout the night are killing me!
When we first got engaged I told Evan that we were either getting married in Hawaii or having a surprise wedding party dance. We chose not to get married in Hawaii which left us with a dance to create. It started with a mother-in-law and son dance to Make You Feel My Love by Adele. But 60 seconds into the song broke in to Bust A Move by Young MC. Evan and my mom both "busted a move" literally and shortly after I joined in followed by the whole wedding party. We ended with each couple dancing down a line to Everybody Dance Now. It was so great and everyone was totally surprised! This definitely started the night off right and the dancing never stopped till we left!
A big thanks to Bailey for sharing her wedding day story with us! And to Ben and Whitney from Brighten Photography for the amazing images that really captured the essence of the day. Check out more from Bailey and Evan's wedding at Brighten's blog - a three part series!

Great roundup of different shape and shade ties!
Bailey is such an adorable bride!
This might be the coolest barn venue I've ever seen. How great are these shots?
Lots of really cool rustic DIY details to this wedding. The groom, Evan made the large moss initial letters that hung on the barn doors. Evan, is a graphic designer and he designed the wedding invitations and the entire paper suite.
They made vases out of aspen tree trunks and used a dremel tool to engrave different things onto them. They also hallowed out a portion of the trunk to put flowers into. Gorgeous!
A daddy's girl myself, I'm a sucker for these father/daughter pictures
I never get tired of a dressed up barn with string lights
The bride and groom made all the wooden signs that were scattered throughout the wedding and reception with wood they found on their Grandpa's farm.

The wedding was in May in Nebraska, which means the weather is totally unpredictable. We were lucky to have clear skies and no wind but we did have 80 degree weather with humidity. Those weather conditions, plus crazy dance moves, equals hot and sweaty boys. So one of my bridesmaids thought it would be funny to convince the groomsmen to take their shirts off. She proceeded to go around one by one and tell them to take their shirts off. Which resulted in not just shirtless groomsmen but many shirtless boys and the father of the bride in a tank. Oh goodness!
OMG - you know when the groom is shirtless it was a good wedding!
That's a lot of skin!
Even the security guard got in on the action - classic!
Love it!
Super cute backdrop for their fun photobooth
