When an alligator, parrot and penguin are part of the guest list you know it's going to be one incredible wedding day and that's exactly what Nikki and Jacob's wedding at the Fort Worth Zoo was. Two Pair Photography was on hand to capture all the amazing details of the day and with a creative couple like Nikki and Jacob there were lots of special moments throughout the day. Nikki wore a light chiffon gown with a beautiful V-neckline and dramatic low back. She wore her hair up and braided into a side chignon with a pretty soft pink blossom, while on her feet she wore a vibrant pair of golden yellow peep toe flats. The bridesmaids wore cool navy blue frocks with beaded embellishment at the shoulders and hem that paired brilliantly with their sunflower and spider mum bouquets. The groomsmen wore blue button downs, khaki trousers and vests along with navy ties to match the bridesmaids, while Jacob wore a darker hued suit with striped chocolate, khaki and red tie. Mustaches were added as a fun accessory for both the ladies and the gents for a few lighthearted portraits at the Zoo.
Nikki and Jacob exchanged vows beneath the shade of the trees as they stood beneath a chuppah made of curly willow branches and a canopy of delicately laced fabric. The ceremony was followed by a reception where centerpieces of sunflowers, hydrangea, curly willow and hanging votives decorated the tabletops. Jacob brewed homemade pomegranate wine for his guests to enjoy, providing a fun favor. A dessert table of freshly baked pies from Blue Bonnet Bakery served as the wedding dessert, with one pie adorned with a cake topper crafted to look just like the bride and groom. Animals meandered the reception space, including a penguin that found its way to the dance floor. Band Deertick provided tunes throughout the evening and at one point Jacob joined the band to serenade his new bride. Don't miss all the incredible wedding details, including the video below of Jacob singing to Nikki during the reception.
