Anne Barge Hits Our Shores
In 1996, British mogul Richard Branson asked American designer, Anne Barge, to open a bridal store in London. She became the managing director for Virgin Bride designing a private label bridal line for the store. Having introduced British brides to clean, chic simplicity Anne Barge has, over the last decade, created a name synonymous with style and stature. In 1999 she established her collection of exquisite styles based on classic lines that have flattered the female figure for centuries. Using the finest silks with museum quality beadwork she has some influencial fans, including Virgin Blue founder Sir Richard Branson. Anne Barge is available in the U.S, UK, Spain and Japan and now, to the delight of Australian brides, is avaiable at Sydney based Basilica Couture from December 2008.
