A Billion Acts of Green–the largest environmental service campaign in the world–inspires and rewards simple individual acts and larger organizational initiatives that further the goal of measurably reducing carbon emissions and supporting sustainability.
Earth Day Network’s A Billion Acts of Green website is designed to prove the idea that real change occurs best when millions of people commit to it with their actions. With its easy-to-use online registration tool, any individual or organization can register an Act of Green, from Earth Day events and community climate meetings to tree plantings, large-scale light bulb changes and workplace renewable energy retrofits. Simple individual gestures like riding a bike instead of driving and washing laundry in cold water may also be recorded.
