Last week I was invited to a glamorous evening of champagne and canapés in celebration of Kosibah’s 20 years in the wedding dress industry. Yemi Osunkoya the award winning wedding dress designer behind the label showcased his latest bridal wear collection Bienvenue 20 which has been influenced by the ballet.
Incidentally the company was named after Yemi’s mother who was there too and in a very sweet moment before the catwalk Yemi personally thanked her for all her support and inspiration.
Here are a few of my favourite wedding dresses from the night:
Sweet ankle length dress with removable sheer overlay
Love the embroidery detail on this
Really liked the detailing on the back of this dress-remember for the most of your ceremony the guests will be looking at your back.
Stunning final dress which had beautiful appliqué floral details on the sheer overlay that ran down the back too and the man of the hour himself- Yemi Osunkoya
As I mentioned the collection was inspired by the ballet and during the evening we were also treated by 2 ballet performance including one from the 2 adorable little girls you see below
Kosibah also offers a range of evening wear with the same beautiful couture tailoring and corsetry that create the perfect hour glass figure; this was my favourite from the evening...
