Finally, a cohesive outfit from Kesha – but is this look a winner? Kesha wore this draped number to the 2010 American Music Awards, and she teamed the almost shredded dress with a towering mohawk and some peep-toe ankle boots. This look still looks unique without looking too er, wacky. I’m all for experimental, but when it ends up looking like a mess rather than a well-put together vision – it’s time to change stylists.
This one does actually work as a look – the dress shows off Kesha’s body, while her striking makeup makes her look vaguely more attractive than usual – who knew silver lipstick could actually look ok? The hair is an integral part of this look: it’s bold and huge, and is one of the first things you look at when you first see this outfit as a whole – but again, while it’s flamboyant, it’s on the nice side rather than the Adam Lambert side.
For once, Kesha’s outfit isn’t frustratingly in random pieces – it actually works, and I might actually like it – as long as she doesn’t talk or sing that is.
