Logan and Joseph married in a beautiful outdoor wedding in Ware Neck, VA photographed by Worthington Photography and designed by Merriment Events. The venue held a special meaning to Logan's family as they have spent the past four years restoring the magnificent Glen Roy Plantation to it's former glory. The ceremony was held on the expansive lawn of the plantation home where there were views of the bay and a single grand tree that stood in the midst of the open lawn. The old tree not only set the backdrop for the outdoor plantation ceremony, but was also a featured design element on the couple's programs. White chairs were set out on the lawn just outside the pale yellow plantation home creating a perfect aisleway for the processional. Logan walked down the aisle wearing a lovely lace gown with cap sleeves and key hole back and carrying a bouquet of lush pink peonies. Her bridesmaids stood at the opposite end awaiting her arrival wearing sweet white and green seersucker Summer dresses and holding white peony bouquets, while Joseph and his groomsmen wore charcoal gray suits, white button downs and green ties to match the girls dresses.
Situated on the lawn overlooking the dock and bay a white open air tent was set up on the Glen Roy Plantation grounds for the reception. The event was designed in a muted palette of soft pink, ivory and hunter green. Round guest tables were set around the tent draped in crisp white linens and white chairs with centerpieces of pale pink, ivory and white roses with leafy green accents nestled in silver vessels. Table numbers were created for each table in white card stock trimmed in hunter green to match the number. White paper lanterns adorned the ceiling of the tent and created a festive glow as the night drew on. Luminaries were lit around the property for guests to mingle around the plantation grounds and take in views of the water. Guests danced the night away to band The Jangling Reinharts on the black and white checkered dance floor under the tent until the night ended with a showering sparkler exit for the bride and groom.
