Real {Destination} Wedding ~ Wendy and James

Nestled in a beautiful valley beneath three volcanoes, Antigua's incredible vegetation and architecture provided spectacular scenery for Wendy and Jordan's destination nuptials photographed by Corbin Gurkin. Wendy wore a tiered beaded gown paired with her mother's heirloom veil as the couple exchanged vows on the Casa Blancas roof terrace overlooking the mountains. After taking a series of stunning images on the cobblestone streets of the historic city, the celebration continued at San Jose El Viejo. The architectual ruins provided the ideal venue for the couple's romantic reception. Flickering candlelight filled the room and danced off the stone walls creating a warm intimate atmosphere. A long Viking-style table ran across the middle of the room paired with gold chiavari chairs and draped in ivory linens. Tall ivory pillar candles ran down the centers of the table, while small bud vases of roses in sunset hues created a pop of color to the tablescape. After an evening of dinner and dancing the night finally ended with a showering sparkler exit and a Guatemalan tradition of sending off white paper lantern gobos into the night sky along with prayers for the happy couple.
