We are getting to the point now where we are working on the tablescapes for the reception. If you are a regular reader you know that I tend to like a lot of different looks so it's been tough to narrow my focus but I think I'm finally there. Our venue, Gorge Crest, offers tables and chairs for the ceremony and reception. They are your typical white folding chairs and 8-10 person round tables. While I would LOVE the exposed farm wood style tables and rustic wooden chairs that's just not going to happen - our budget can't handle it.
Those are all pretty extreme examples of the exposed wood tables - even if we could afford that look it would have been much simpler than those. Frankly you can't find anyone out in the Hood River area that offers the farm wood tables anyway (potential business opportunity!).
I think we decided that we would rent a few of the long banquet tables that really aren't very pretty but we'll cover them up and still get the beautiful long table loveliness and the communal family style feel we are going for.
These are some of my favorites...
Now that we have decided on the tables it's time to start thinking about what to put on them!
Not gonna happen but LOVE it
