Real Wedding ~ Corey and Tim

Corey and Tim's wedding at Old Wide Awake Plantation in South Carolina was sent to us by photographers Ryan and Kelly Portnoy of Kellan Studios. Situated near the picturesque Stono River, the antebellum plantation home and its grounds offered a pristine natural setting with the feel of gracious Southern elegance. Punctuated by a palette of bright colors, the outdoor soiree had an easy, laid-back prettiness and the fresh, breezy appeal of a perfect spring day. Corey wore a simple strapless A-line gown with a sash in pale cappucino and added a large floral hair pin tucked behind her ear. She carried a bouquet of soft pink, white and pale yellow blossoms, while her bridesmaids wore short cocktail dresses in brilliant azure and carried matching bouquets of hydrangea in indigo and violet. The groomsmen wore gray suits and ties in a range of vibrant hues, while Tim wore a shirt in French blue and a contrasting white tie.

The ceremony and reception were held on the plantation grounds with scenic views of the river, where Timeless Designs created a colorful, relaxed event. Groupings of natural wood tables and cubed leather ottomans provided casual cocktail hour seating and gathered floral arrangements included a bright mix of daisies, blue thistle, hydrangea and poppies. Dinner was served on the wrap around porch of the plantation house where guest tables were draped in muted khaki linens with a mixture of embroidered and floral overlays. Dancing followed beneath a tent on the lawn decorated with twinkling white lights.
