Real Wedding ~ Natalie and Adam

Natalie and Adam's beautiful wedding reminds us of how lovely winters are in Florida... so nice in fact, that an afternoon outdoor wedding is comfortable in February. Situated on the bank of the St. Johns River with towering live oaks draped in Spanish moss, stunning fountains, manicured grounds and a terrace overlooking the water, the Club Continental was a spectacular setting for Natalie and Adam's wedding photographed by Brooke Images. The event palette was based on white mixed with a variety of fresh greens, ranging from brilliant chartreuse to warm olive. Natural tones and textures, such as branches, bark and rattan were added, along with splashes of bold red garden roses used sparingly throughout the florals. Natalie wore a strapless beaded gown with a pair of satin peep-toe pumps by Badgley Mischka, a diamond encrusted brooch and a chapel length veil. She carried a gathered bouquet of all white flowers, including orchids, garden roses and freesia, while her bridesmaids carried mixed white and green bouquets with knee-length strapless cocktail dresses in chartreuse. Natalie gave each maid a custom-made clutch as a pretty keepsake gift. Adam and his groomsmen wore classic black suits with white ties and boutonnieres made with a single white orchid.

The ceremony was held on the terrace overlooking the river where white petals created a naturally textured aisle runner. Two wrought iron pedestals wrapped in ivy held glass containers of submerged green orchids, providing a frame for Natalie and Adam's exchange of vows. Everyone moved inside the grand Mediterranean-style mansion for the reception where Liz Stewart Floral Design created floral arrangements and centerpieces to blend seamlessly with the existing decor. The place card table featured a tall arrangement of branches, cymbidium orchids and red garden roses, while the place cards were displayed in wine corks custom-printed for the occasion. Engagement pictures of Natalie and Adam served as unique table numbers, while bark candles were scattered throughout to give the event a warm glow as evening approached. Don't miss a single reception detail, including the burlap favor boxes with custom gift tags and the couple's three tier wedding cake made by Kakes by Katie.
