Real Wedding ~ Drew and Stuart

Drew and Stuart's lovely Bald Head Island wedding was photographed by Anne McGowan and designed by Kim Fisher Designs. The event was created in a palette inspired by the nautical seaside setting in white, ivory and navy. Drew wore a stunning one-shoulder Romona Keveza gown draped in ivory silk shantung taffeta and embellished with a waist cinching sash adorned with Swarovski crystals. Her bridesmaids wore strapless cocktail dresses in deep navy, while the groomsmen wore khaki trousers, navy suit jackets, white button downs and ties in maize with boutonnieres made of a single cymbidium orchid blossom. The ceremony took place at The Village Chapel of Bald Head Island, a picturesque chapel situated near Old Baldy, where bouquets of brilliant white hydrangea blossoms adorned the ends of the pews and decorated the aisleway. Drew made her way down the aisle carrying a beautiful bouquet of white calla lilies with her dramatic cathedral length veil trailing behind her. After the ceremony the celebration continued at Harbourside Pavilion where garden lights hung from the rafters and a trio of chandeliers created a romantic glow over the tables. Guest tables were draped in Champagne embroidered linens and set with dark mahogany chivari chairs creating a striking contrast. A pop of color was added to the tables with centerpieces of submerged hydrangea blooms and strands of vibrant chartreuse hued cymbidium orchids.
