WU: How did you become an event designer? When and how did you begin Hall & Webb Event Design?

S&E: We have always had a passion for planning events. From the food, to the entertainment and décor, we knew this was the obvious career path for us. We always say this path chose us!
After many years of working for others and always dreaming of starting our own wedding and event planning company, we were thrilled when the timing was right and the opportunity arose. We jumped on it!

WU: Tell us about how you work with engaged couples, whether as a team or individually.

S&E: We understand that each couple is unique and we approach every meeting with that in mind. We do our best to attend each meeting together since we each bring a different perspective due to our backgrounds.

    WU: Describe your wedding style.

S&E: We believe in keeping up with current trends to provide our couples with fresh new ideas. We stress to each couple to bring in as much personal style as they can since it is their special day!

    WU: What inspires you?

S&E: Trendy boutiques, the beach, walking through historic cities, a good bottle of wine.

WU: How do you keep your ideas fresh?

S&E: Staying current with the latest blogs, attending industry events, fashion magazines.

WU: What was your favorite wedding and why?

S&E: Our favorite wedding so far was a spring wedding in uptown Charlotte. The wedding was a traditional southern style wedding, with a modern feel. From the fancy fried chicken to the crystal chandeliers that hung from the tentless tent structure…no detail was overlooked! The guests sipped on “Southern Punch” and were entertained all night by a great party band.

WU: What makes Hall & Webb Event Design different from other wedding and event designers?

S&E: We have 17 years of combined experience with both weddings and events - we have done it all! Sara was raised in the South & Elizabeth in the North and each brings a unique design style to every event.

WU: What would be your ideal wedding assignment or dream wedding to design?

S&E: We love them all! Whether a Downtown wedding in Charlotte or a Historic Plantation in Charleston; each allows us to put our creative touch on it. If we had to pick just one…our all time favorite wedding is one that would allow us to step out side the box and journey down a road with a couple that we have not been before.

WU: Tell us three things you can't live without.

    S&E: Work….Cell phone, Laptop & Coffee!!! Personal….Husbands, Vacations & Champagne!!!

WU: What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?

S&E: Nothing worth having is easily obtained.

WU: What is the best advice you can give to an engaged couple?

S&E: You’re getting married, this is fun!
