Real Wedding: Eco-Friendly Organic Farm Wedding

This rustic eco-friendly wedding was held at the Mt. Hood Organic Farms - one of my favorite Hood River area venues.  The coolest part about it - I was able to contribute to this "green" wedding by recycling some of our wedding leftovers to the bride. Margi contacted me after reading about my wedding on the blog.  She figured since we lived in Florida and would be traveling back after the wedding that we might be getting rid of some of our decor items.  She was right!  We couldn't possibly ship everything back to FL so we were happy to recycle our items to another couple that could repurpose them.

Remember these wood cuts that my hubs and his Mom gathered?

I really like the idea of the antique skis as the guest book

    Great homemade sign

They were commited to using local and regional resources throughout their wedding day - the locally sourced meal, flowers from the venue's garden and the groom even brewed the beer for the wedding!  And what a cute and clever name for the beer - Brid-ale.

What a great favor that speaks to the couple's commitment to the sustainability - they donated to three different environmental organizations in their guests' honor and gave each guest a wooden token to put in one of the wooden donation boxes for that specific organization.

A big thanks to Ryan from FS Photography for sharing these amazing images with us.  What a perfect setting with Mt Hood in the background for this green wedding!
