A Mountain Wedding

My trip to Oregon for the wedding site visit is just around the corner so I'm particularly excited to share this next wedding at Mt Hood's Silcox Hut at Timberline - a truly intimate mountain venue. This place has so much rustic charm - it's very small and with the bench seating makes it so close and personal. Judging from the pictures you would think this wedding was in December and not unlike the weather I'm expecting next week however this was a spring mountain wedding in April.  I think it would be so much fun to get married on top of the mountain in the spring with snow on the ground!  This wedding has SO many amazing details - you can tell they spend a lot of time on DIY decor and favors.  I love the bride's vintage look - her dress, the birdcage veil...and her bouquet is particularly fabulous!

Remember my paper flower post - one of the shots was from this wedding.  There were paper flowers EVERYWHERE and all hand done by the bride and groom.

    I just love this bouquet!

Details!  More paper flowers and love the paper bag luminaries lining the benches

Look at the rustic centerpieces - tree stumps with their initials, the branches, flowers, fabric = smitten!

The cake with the love birds on top.  And the paper flowers woven into the real flowers...it's too much!

I can't say enough about this venue - so sweet

My favorite thing about this wedding were the hand knit favors that the bride made herself - how adorable!  Everyone was dancing around the hut in their cozy hats, scarves and mittens.

Check out more images from this fabulous mountain wedding at FS Photography blog - there are two different posts since there were so many great shots from this day so make sure to check out both. FS Photography looks like another great option for Oregon weddings!

    How cozy...
