Real Wedding ~ Brooke and James

When Brooke Parkhurst, author of Belle in the Big Apple, got married to her handsome husband James, she headed South to picturesque Bluffton, SC for their intimate fall wedding, photographed by Mark Staff Photography. The event was designed in a rich palette of deep burgundy, cream and chocolate with accents of mossy green. Brooke wore a form fitting strapless gown with a pretty pair of fuchsia Stuart Weitzman peep-toe pumps and carried a full, gathered bouquet of wine-colored peonies. James wore a beautifully tailored black suit by Hugo Boss with a crisp white button down and chic white satin tie.

The reception included just six guests seated in front of a large stone fireplace at The Inn at Palmetto Bluff Resort. Glass vessels with flickering pillar candles were set on the gleaming hardwood floor, the shelves and on the fireplace mantel, surrounding the table with a romantic warm glow. The table was dressed in a monogrammed linen tablecloth with matching embroidered monogrammed linen napkins and the centerpiece was made in an arrangement of burgundy and mossy green florals combined with glass votives. James, a successful NY chef, designed the menu for the evening, which the couple plans to include in their book Just Married and Cooking, a cookbook for newly married couples.
