Real Wedding ~ Suzanne and Ben

Suzanne and Ben planned their Charleston, SC wedding in just four short months, setting the date for December 27th, right after Christmas. They embraced the notion of a holiday-inspired wedding and settled on the theme of a Southern family Christmas, evident in their spectacular images by our talented friend, Corbin Gurkin. The beautiful William Aiken House set the tone for the event palette with a variety of bold colors, including emerald, navy and cranberry. Suzanne envisioned a garden aesthetic and hired the talented team at WED, who created a modern design for the exterior, using a combination of cranberries, orchids and other seasonal flowers. The interior designs were created to compliment the venue's existing decor, with silver linens topped by large, massed arrangments of Baby's Breath in tall silver vases. Suzanne's pretty lace gown was cinched at the waist with a sash and cameo from Ben's great-Grandmother, while the bridemaids wore simple black dresses with monogrammed emerald shawls. Don't miss the fantastic details of their outdoor reception, including deep red fabric-draped ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers, hanging lanters and exquisite florals.
