Real Wedding ~ Teresa and Steve

We're starting off this week's real wedding posts with Teresa and Steve's lovely, intimate affair in Decatur, GA, sent to us by Lauren Wright Photography. The event was designed in a palette of white, black and a range of earthy greens, from vibrant chartreuse to deep moss. We love that Teresa went non-traditional and wore a short black and white party dress paired with a birdcage veil and pearls. Natural wood chairs with chartreuse sashes formed the seating for the courtyard ceremony where Teresa made her way down the aisle carrying a gathered bouquet of lily of the valley. A wrought iron canopy hung with pomanders of moss and white and green spider mums created a dramatic centerpiece, framing Teresa and Steve's exchange of vows.

The reception was held in The Solarium, where 2000 AD Inc. helped create the decor in a mix of earthy and modern. The tables were dressed in black and white print linens, crisp white china and black napkins with centerpieces of honeycomb, grass, bird's nests, birdhouses, miniature bird baths, twigs and an abundance of unusual white and green blooms. Glorious Events served up a helping of Southern classics including barbecue, shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes. Don't miss the couple's signature drink, the "McWheat Mojito" served in mason jars with custom monogrammed stirring sticks.
