I really don't have much motivation for writing a post today - I'm pretty foggy headed after an epic weekend in Park City, Utah for my Guy's 30th birthday. The surprise was fantasic even though I think he had an inkling I was planning something. The snowboarding was such a blast even with all the war wounds I have to show for it. But I think the best part of the trip was just spending time with old friends and soon to be family (and maybe the rockin dance parties!).
I've always felt so blessed to have been born into an amazing family and had such great extended family relatives and friends. And now to be marrying into another wonderful family is pretty unreal. This weekend we spent some QT with his brother and wife (future sista-in-law!) and I finally met my Guy's cousin that he has always told me stories about and his wife that is too cute for words. Some of our best friends met us out there too and I've always felt like my closest friends are my family too. In fact, two of my aunts and uncles are actually not my blood relatives at all but super close friends of my Mom's that go way back to the early days but family none the less. I feel no different about these friends - I'm sure our kids will one day (a long time from now) call them aunt and uncle too!
Add these two awesome families with all of our friends - this is going to be one big love fest of a wedding day and one killer party! Speaking of wedding...we are inside of 3 months and only 88 days away. And they just rated Hood River one of the World's Prettiest Mountain Towns in Travel and Leisure Magazine...just the icing on the cake!
