I love weddings and always thought one day I would be a wedding or event planner and while my job does require me to plan a few client parties and hospitality functions every year it's taken planning my own wedding to realize I've truly missed my calling. I've scoured different wedding websites and blogs for inspiration and ideas on DIY projects, color palettes, budget friendly wedding tips, beautiful photography and anything that might trigger an idea for my own wedding.
Since I've been inspired by so many other wedding sites I've decided to create one of my own to hopefully offer some inspiration and insight to future brides especially those looking to get married in the Hood River, OR area and those that are trying to plan their weddings from across the country. I can't promise my style will be for everyone as I tend to like the outdoor, rustic, mountain, backyard, garden, barn style type weddings but the best thing about weddings is that they are so personal. I look at the "real wedding" post on various sites and while certain weddings may not be for me I can still appreciate the beauty in them and the uniqueness of each couple.
I wish I had started this blog even before I was engaged so that I could truly document this entire journey but will start now and hope to keep it updated on my planning process and all things that have inspired it. If nothing else this will be an adventure for me and something I can look back on later and remember this wonderful time. Cheers!
