Real Wedding ~ Sarah and Tommy

Spring weather can be unpredictable at best and in March, especially so. One minute it's sunny and warm and the next, it's raining and blustery. Such was the case for Sarah and Tommy's wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, SC, photographed by MCG Photography. It began to rain right before the ceremony and the event had to be moved indoors at the last minute. As everyone scurried under the reception tent, Sarah, the event manager of Lowndes Grove, knew how to roll with the punches and walked down the aisle with a big smile.

Sarah chose an event palette of chocolate brown, fresh green and crisp white, accented by soft pastels and event design dynamo Luke Wilson brought her vision to life. Her bridesmaids wore deep brown cocktail dresses and carried massed bouquets of varied pastel hydrangea while Sarah's bouquet was created with all white blooms. The reception was a study in balanced modern symmetry mixed with classic style. Pristine pale blue linens dressed square tables set with dark brown chivari chairs and topped by square boxed arrangements of pastel centerpieces. Pretty crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling for soft lighting, while large filigreed lanterns created a warm glow. The rain continued as everyone danced the night away and at the end of the night, Sarah and Tommy made their getaway in a vintage English cab.
